Spring travel, tour dates and album releases from some of the world's hottest bands and musicians are in the air in 2009. all serving as a musical economic stimulus.

A long list of tour schedules and albums for the year indicates that musicians from Aerosmith to Black Eyed Peas have been busy in the studio and planning multi-stop tours for 2009.

The biggest release of 2009 could be pop icon Michael Jackson who is said to be lining up his big comeback with a 30-date live spectacular around the world and a new album recorded in Las Vegas. His last tour dates from 1996 and his most recent album, Invincible, was released in 2001.

The Dave Matthews Band revealed first dates of their 2009 tour and that their new album will be released on April 14, 2009. This is the band’s first since the 2005 Stand Up and the death of founding saxophonist LeRoi Moore in 2008. Listeners can have high expectations for this album as its producer Rob Cavallo, is known for his mastery on Green Day’s classic American Idiot album.

The day that the album appears in stores, the Dave Matthews Band will take to the stage to kick off its tour, starting at New York’s Madison Square Gardens and ending in Las Vegas on May 9, 2009. Acts planned to open for the band include Roots, Jason Mraz, Avett Brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show.

The new Depeche Mode album will be released in spring 2009 and the year continues with the band’s Tour of The Universe concert tour. Depeche Mode is not the only 1980s band planning a new album and tour in the Spring 2009. The Pet Shop Boys will release a new album this Spring entitled Yes, with the first single from the album, Love Etc. set for its debut on the airwaves on March 16, 2009.

Rap Fans Rejoice New Albums by Flo Rida

Sensation Flo Rida releases his album R.O.O.T.S., which stands for Routes of Overcoming the Struggle, in the Spring 2009. Fans may expect songs of the same sound as hit Low, given that Flo Rida is again working with producer DJ Montay as well as J Rock and Doctor Luke.

Meanwhile, Eminem will release his album, Relapse, in the Spring 2009, his sixth studio album.

Perhaps the most prolific artist of 2009 may be Prince who has plans to release three albums in one year, entitled Lotus Flower, MPLSound and Elixir.In January 2009 alone, Prince launched his new website along with at least six new songs.

Spring music is definitely in the air for 2009 as artists around the globe mount news of new albums and concert tours. With all the anticipated new music, it seems that despite the troubled economic times, fans will have some high-quality musical escape.
