Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band will be touring Europe this summer to promote the, 'Working on a Dream' album featuring Golden Globe winning song, 'The Wrestler'.

This is the first time Springsteen and the E Street band have released back to back albums since, ‘Greetings from Ashbury Park’ and ‘The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle', back in 1973, ('Human Touch' and 'Lucky Town' were released simultaneously and wasn’t recorded with the E-Street Band).

Springsteen and the band completed a 64 date tour in August of last year in support of their Magic album and 9 months later are back on the road for a similar schedule in 2009.

Bruce Plays for President Obama and the NFL

Bruce hasn’t had his feet up since he finished the tour. He has been busy already in 2009. January saw him playing a concert as part of the festivities for the inauguration of President Obama. Springsteen was a staunch supporter of Obama during his campaign and playing for the crowds at a number of rallies.

In February, despite admitting to knowing nothing about American Football and having turned down the offer many times before, Bruce finally played the NFL Superbowl half time show.

In true Boss style, he packed 4 songs, (‘Tenth Avenue Freezout’, ‘Born to Run’, ‘Working on a Dream’ and Glory Days’), into a 12 minute set, leaving the crowd as breathless as Bruce himself when he overdid a stage slide and ended up hitting a stageside camera.

The US leg of the tour is already underway. Bruce hits Europe with 'Working on a Dream' at the end of May.
